The Children’s University (CU) Trust is a charitable trust that provides 7 to 14 year olds (and 5 to 6 year olds with their families) with exciting and innovative learning activities and experiences outside normal school hours. They celebrate achievement and reward participation through their certificates.
Children’s University is a charity that works in partnership with schools to develop a love of learning in children. They do this by encouraging and celebrating participation in extra-curricular activities in and outside of school. They are committed to creating a level playing field of opportunity and opening up access to children of all backgrounds.
Children’s University is a successful and long-established model for encouraging, tracking and celebrating participation in learning activities beyond the classroom. They validate activities and quality assure them to ensure all children are gaining what they should from taking part.
As ‘My Activity Passport’ is a document designed to be edited to suit local needs and the cultures of individual schools, CU are able to support schools in creating a bespoke passport that reflects the ethos of your school.
By running ‘My Activity Passport’ as part of Children’s University, schools will have the added value of being able to celebrate participation with graduation ceremonies complete with certificates, caps and gowns. Students will also be encouraged to access learning opportunities online via a new forthcoming digital platform, at school and in the local community beyond those listed in ‘My Activity Passport’. This includes activities engaging students with FE and HE, local businesses, and the community beyond school.
